Mable Galloway Burgess Brevard - Mable Galloway Burgess, 81, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Oaks of Brevard. Born in Cullowhee, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dela Galloway and was the wife of the late Gordon Burgess. She was also preceded in death by her sons, John Burgess and Dennis Galloway. Mrs. Burgess was retired from Ecusta Corp. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Taylor and husband Dennis of Hendersonville, and Nancy Briggs and husband Charles of Brevard; grandchildren, Kevin Gillespie, Tracy Briggs, Danny Briggs, Jason Galloway, and Lindsey Galloway, seven great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Pisgah Gardens.
