Brevard – Marcia Whitlock Ashe, 57, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Brian Center, Hendersonville, NC. A native of Transylvania County, she is the daughter of Wanda Galloway Whitlock of Pisgah Forest and the late Troy L. Whitlock, Sr. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her husband, James K. Ashe, and her brother, Harrison Whitlock. Mrs. Ashe worked in the healthcare field as a Registered Nurse and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to her mother are her children, Brad of Brevard, and Missy of Pickens, SC; brothers, Troy L. Whitlock, Jr. and wife Linda of Trenton, TN, Robert Whitlock and wife Bonnie of Brevard, Mark Whitlock and wife Rita of Brevard, and Tom Whitlock and wife Ruth of Brevard; one grandson, Koty. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, July 15, 2011 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
