Margaret W. Guilkey 90 (Peggy) passed to heaven on Saturday 21st, 2023 after an extended illness.  Peggy was born 1-17-1933 in Toxaway, to Elbert and Ida Whitmire. She was the middle of 5 kids.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Ida.  Her loving husband of 31 years Charles (Chuck).  Brothers Joe (Joyce), Ted (Loretta), sister Boots (Gene).

Peggy was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church of Brevard. She worked for the Transylvania County school system, as a Teachers Assistant at Penrose and Pisgah Forest Elementary for 22 years before retiring.  She loved all the teachers and kids she worked with.

She is survived by sons Chuck (Janet),and Steve (Anita).  Grandchildren Chris (Shelby), Heather (Brian) Haney, and Heidi.  2 Great grandkids Connor and  Andrew.   Sister Carole , several nieces and nephews.

The family wants to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Pardee Oncology, for all the love and support the last 2 years.

Graveside services will be held 1pm, Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
