Margaret Jannette Hudson, 92, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Jan was born in 1932 in Tryon, NC to Wilbur Brady and Jewel Brady.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband,  David S. Hudson.

Jan graduated from Flat Rock High School, and spent her entire career as a dental assistant. She married Stan while he was serving in the United States Navy, and they were married for sixty-five years until his death. Jan was a devoted wife and mother and loved making her home beautiful and warm for her family. She and Stan were active members of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville for fifty years. She sang in the choir and served multiple terms as the choir social director, as well as working in the hospitality ministry, and with children and youth. She and Stan enjoyed working with The Sound Of Singing Youth and chaperoning their choir tours. Jan had the gift of hospitality, was a wonderful cook, and loved hosting people in their home. In retirement, she volunteered with the Henderson County Literacy Council. Jan and Stan loved going on adventures together, and they rode their Honda Goldwing motorcycle all over the United States and Canada. Jan and Stan passed on a strong legacy of faith in God and devotion to each other.

Jan leaves behind three sons: Joel Hudson of Asheville, Jeff (Susan Hembree) Hudson, and David (Tonya) Hudson; four grandchildren: Jessica Rizo, Joshua Hudson, Seth Hudson, and Abbigail Hudson; eight great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Patricia (Edwin) Boelte and Rebecca (Larry) Harden.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
