MARGIE NAOMI HENSON BRYSON

OCTOBER 27, 1931 – JULY 21, 2023

Margie Naomi Henson Bryson, born October 27, 1931, stepped across Heaven's threshold into the arms of her loving Father where her mind is now clear, and she is hurting no more on July 21, 2023. Heavenward bound.

She married the love of her life Ollie Haynes Bryson Jr on December 24, 1950. Margie worked at the old Wheeler Hosiery Mill on Main St. Brevard in late 1940's till early1950's during WWII. She loved the Lord and loved her family with all of her heart. But those grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light in her life. She was a tremendous example of a Godly Christian woman. She was a long-standing member of Cathey's Creek Baptist since the early 1950's. She also worked harvesting tobacco to help raise money to build the new Cathey's Creek Baptist Church. She served the Lord as a good Stuart working earnestly in the church until her health would no longer allow. She helped start and worked as an assistant in the Awana Program at Cathey's Creek Baptist church in1992. She also taught Sunday School for many years, sung in the choir, worked in Ladies Aide, Flower Ministry and in the Nursery. She loved gardening and working in her flower beds. Always finding good in everyone. She will be greatly missed by all the many lives she has touched during her earthly home. Such a special lady, so blessed to have had her in our lives. Margie was the 6th born of 11 children to the late Jesse Lane and Beulah Estelle Nix Henson in Oconee County SC. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Ollie Haynes Bryson Jr.; brothers, Hurstle, Hub, Jake (John); sisters, Helen Robertson Catherine Brewer and Shirley Kinman; sisters-in-law, Margaret Waldrop, Frances Bryson, Georgia Henson; brother-in-law, John L Bryson.

She leaves behind her two sons, Terry Bryson and wife Jan; Dicky Bryson and wife Jennifer; her very special grandchildren, Jamie Bryson and wife Sarah, Jessica Bryson Owen and husband Nicolas, Brooke Ledford and Mitchell Ledford; her great grandchildren, Myah Owen, Collin Owen, Tillie Bryson, Sadie Bryson, Elsie Bryson, and Emilie Bryson; siblings, Maureen Angle, Ann Finnen, Jean Robinson, Jack Henson.

A Celebration of life and receiving of friends will be held at Cathey's Creek Baptist on Tuesday July 25, 2023 at 10:30 AM. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A very heart felt thank you to her special hospice workers, Kayla, Denise, Tenille, and Marcus, aka Little Preacher man. Also, to Brianna Galloway for the loving care she gave her.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Cathey's Creek Baptist Church Buildings and Grounds fund.
