Margie Hooker Connolly Simpson Douglasville Ga. – Margie Hooker Connolly Simpson, 82 passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Elzie Dukes, Sr. and Ruby May Martin Hooker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, John M. Connolly, II; son, John M. Connolly III and three brothers; Elzie Dukes, Thomas and Joe Dan Hooker. Survivors include her husband; Richard Benny Simpson of the home, three sons; H. Wayne Connolly Sr. of Pisgah Forest, George Byron Connolly of Greer, SC and Michael Walters of Asheville, three daughters; Debbie Connolly Mulenex of Brevard, Emmajean Kokesh of Columbia, SC and Rosalyn Stevens of Columbia, SC, one brother; John L. Hooker of Pontiac, SC, two sisters; Mary Barker of Travelers Rest, SC and Barbara Risenhover of Columbia, SC; Thirteen grandchildren and Twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating . Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
