Marie Nicholson Rogers age 90, of Brevard died Friday October 5, 2012 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1922 in Jackson County to the late Mack Duff Nicholson and Minnie Wood Nicholson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Rogers, one daughter; Ramona Rogers, one granddaughter; Tammy McCall and four brothers; Frank, Randall, Ray and Andrew Nicholson. Mrs. Rogers was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother. She was a member of Selica United Methodist Church and the owner of Rogers Meat Processing. Survivors include two sons; Steve Rogers and his wife Kim, Frank (Buster) Rogers and his wife Diane, three daughters; Elaine Head, Phyllis Pearson and her husband Doug and Libby Light, one sister Sue Stansell, eleveen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great greandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at Glady Branch Baptist Church Saturday October 13, 2012 at 2:00pm conducted by Rev. Ann Self and Rev. Tommy Owen. Interment will be at the A.J. Wood Cemetery in Jackson County. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Selica United Methodist Church.
