She enjoyed being a housewife and raising her "babies". When she did begin working she started with the Transylvania Vocational Services as a secretary. Later she went on to work for Transylvania Community Hospital in the billing office until retirement. At this time she and Hugh started their travels in their 5th wheel. They went to Florida for a while and then made several cities in Texas their home over the years. She enjoyed traveling so much. In the early 2000s, they made Brevard home again. She loved playing Bingo and going to the Cherokee Casino but her favorite thing to do was to watch her Altanta Braves baseball games. She could sing! What a sweet voice. Her smile was warm and loving and she was always wanting to help others. The last three years she lived at The Oaks of Brevard where she enjoyed the other residents, staff and activities so much. She was a friend to all and will be missed by so many.
Funeral services will be held 12noon, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
