Brevard - Marion Kay Steen passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026 surrounded by those who cherished her most.
Born on January 22, 1964, Kay lived a life defined by compassion, hard work, and tireless devotion to caring for others. For 30 years, Kay served as a nurse, offering comfort, skill, and reassurance to countless patients and their families. Her work was not just a profession - it was a calling, and a reflection of her belief in the dignity of every person she cared for. Over the years she trained whole new generations of nurses and caregivers, and her legacy of hard work and joy will live on through them.
Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years Drew, her sons Casey and Alex, and her precious granddaughter Iris, who will carry her memory and presence in their hearts forever.
A celebration of Kay’s life will be held 11am, Monday, March 2, 2026 at Biltmore Baptist Brevard Campus.
Her love will endure forever in the memories she gave us, and in the lives she helped to shape.
