Brevard – Marius Hughey Wells, 49, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Dr. Marius Hughey and Ruth McCracken Wells. Marius was a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church. He was a brilliant man with a servant's heart. He devoted both his time and talents to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife of 15 years Melissa Dill Wells; son, John Dill of Angier, NC; daughter, Jordan Wells of the home, four sisters; Kathryn Wells Wilson and husband Michael of Apex, NC, Jane Wells Cregger and husband Peter of Raleigh, NC, Susan Wells Ingraham and husband Michael of Spartanburg, SC and Marian Wells Martin and husband David of Richmond, VA. A Memorial Service will be held 6pm, Friday, August 14, 2015 at Glady Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
