Pisgah Forest - Marjorie Ford Mote, age 81 passed away February 9, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. A native of Boone, NC, she was born on July 6, 1940, to the late John Ingle Ford and Rhoda Greene Ford. She is also preceded in death by her husband Albert Mote Jr., and brother Rannie Ford and two great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith and prided herself on hard work and the ability to "outwork any man." Survivors include brothers Joe Ford and wife Julia, and Norman Ford of Boone, NC, a daughter Misty Mote-McCall and husband Chris of Horse Shoe, a son Forrest Mote and wife Ginger of Hendersonville, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will occur on Friday February 25, 2022 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials in her memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
