Mark Twain Valentine, Jr of Pisgah Forrest passed peacefully on Wednesday January 8, 2020. Mark was born in Logan, WV on July 15, 1927 to the late Mark T. Valentine and Agnes Carney Valentine. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Virginia After serving in the US Army and graduating from West Virginia University, he and Virgina Mullins were married in 1951. Mark worked in tire distribution for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, OH and its subsidiary Lee Tire & Rubber of Conshohocken, PA. Mark and Virgina moved from Pennsylvania to Pisgah Forest upon his retirement from Goodyear. Suvivors include two daughters Susan Kearney and Jeanne Mizanin, one son, Mark D. Valentine, son-in-law Colin Kearney, daughter-in-law Diana Valentine, sister, Mary Agnes Early, his brother, John C. Valentine and ten grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held 11am, Saturday February 15, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard.
