Pisgah Forest – Marla Nicholson Basting, 48, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John Dewey Nicholson. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tessa Queen. Marla was employed by Trinity View Assisted Living in Arden and by the Oaks of Brevard. Survivors include her mother, Wilma Nicholson; sons, Corey Queen and wife Tiffany of Brevard, Jonathan Basting of Brevard and Nathaniel Basting of Penrose; brothers, Larry Nicholson of Knoxville, TN and Randall Nicholson of Brevard; grandchildren; Bradley and Dalice and many nieces and nephews.
