Martha Holcomb Aiken went home to be with the Lord Feb 2, 2022. She passed away peacefully at home in her sleep. She was born September 10, 1942, to the late Robert. O. Holcomb and Tilda Butler Holcomb. She was a lifelong resident of Rosman, N.C. where she retired from M.B. Industries in 2020 after 31 years of service. Mrs. Aiken loved to help people by planning, helping with and attending benefit bingos for people and community centers in need. She believed that one person could not do it alone but with the help of the people, a lot could be accomplished. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wilburn Aiken; son, Samual Aiken; brother, Robert. A. Holcomb; sisters, Polly Chappell, Barbara Pitawanakwat, Doris Ramsey, and Georgia Anders; and niece Tammy Anders Galloway. Mrs. Aiken is survived by her children James Aiken, Hazel Moody, Robin Aiken and wife Teresa of Rosman; grandchildren Jamie Aiken, Kim Aiken, Trace Aiken, Lee Aiken and Shyanna Stepp; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest Tuesday Feb 8, 2022, at 2:00 P.M at Old Toxaway Cemetery with graveside services. The Rev. Bradley Chappell will officiate.
