Martin Scott Butz, 65, of Lake Toxaway, opened his eyes in Heaven on April 22nd, 2026.

Martin was a 1998 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, receiving his degree in Physical Therapy, after feeling God’s calling on his life to minister to others through his career.

He considered his greatest accomplishments to be his children: Devan (Dominic) Giglio-Tos; Charles M. Butz; Lukas Butz Norton (Kerrigan), and Andrew Butz.

In addition to his children, Martin is survived by his parents, Charles H. and Linda Butz; wife, Tacia Butz; siblings Thomas Butz, Randal Christopher, Pam (Jeff) Klug, and Kelle (David) McElveen; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held with the Reverend Marcus Dodson officiating.

The family wishes to thank the CarePartners hospice staff for their compassionate care during this time. They also offer their appreciation to the many friends and family who have offered their support.
