Marvin "David" Britt, 70, of Penrose NC, received the ultimate healing Saturday, July 8, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Born December 28, 1952, he was the youngest child of the late Milburn and Maybelle Britt.

A loving husband, dad, and pawpaw, he never met a stranger and was related to half of Transylvania County. He loved working on cars, tinkering on things around the house, and would help you out in any way you would need.

He is preceded in death by both parents, brother Donald Lee Britt, sisters Jane Cook and Betty Blythe.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Britt of Penrose; daughter Kristin Bishop and husband CJ of Oceanside CA; son Samuel Britt of Penrose; granddaughter Mackenzie Caison of Penrose. Brothers Lewis Britt and Daniel Britt, wife Nancy, of Dallas Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on July 29, 2023 at 3:00pm at Moody Connolly Funeral Home. Receiving friends will follow the service and there will be a dinner at Little River Community Center after as well.
