Jane Powell Reese, age 81, of Rosman, passed away at Transylvania Regional Hospital on November 5, 2023.

Jane was a lifelong resident of Rosman. A dedicated and active member of East Fork Baptist Church for over 70 years. It was there that she met and served with her lifelong love, Gerald.

Miss Jane worked at Rosman High School as a secretary/bookkeeper for 46 years. She was an inductee  in the Rosman High School Hall of Fame. She was also a winner of the Lillian Cothran Educational Golden Apple Award. She was a self-proclaimed historian of Rosman High School, knowing many secrets and facts of her home away from home for 46 years.

She also possessed a passion for traveling the world. She visited many different places and saw many different sights during her travels with her husband, special friends, and family. She inspired her children and grandchildren to travel by exploring many exciting places with them.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Alvin " Gerald" Reese, parents Roman and Ressie Powell and sister Joyce Reese.

She is survived by her loving children, Sheila Cozart (Robert), Sondra Green (Kim), Steven Reese (Duffy); beloved grandchildren, Cassie Neelands (Andy), Zachary Cozart (Hillary), Bethany Green, Bailey Reese, Tanner Green (Katie), Justin Cozart (Samantha); great grandchildren Carter and Charlotte Cozart, Bristol Cozart and Blayne Toms, Dianna Green and Marshall Neelands; sisters Betty Landreth, Susie Reese and Rita Whitlock (Mark) and brothers/sisters-in-law Avery Reese, Tom Reese (Debbie), Butch Reese (Norma), Ann Whitmire and many special nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held at East Fork Baptist Church in Brevard on Thursday November 9th, 2023. Visitation 3:00-4:30 pm and service at 5:00 pm. A private family burial service will be held.
