Mary Jane Cooper Smith Brevard – Mary Jane Cooper Smith, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her residence. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Auther and Cora McCrary Cooper and the wife of the late John E. Smith. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters and six brothers. Mrs. Smith was a cashier with Bi-Lo where she was known as "Miss Mary". Surviving are her sister, Paula McCall of Brevard, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shane Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to TRH Hospice.
