Brevard – Mary Lou Galloway Summey, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2016. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Lesco and Ruby Masters Galloway. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Odell Galloway. Mrs. Summey was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Leroy Summey; daughters, Judy Summey Cheek and husband Craig, Joan Summey Stewart and husband James, Jane Summey Cassell and husband Jimmy all of Brevard; son, Jeffery Summey and wife Jonlyn of Brevard; sister, Betty Galloway Summey of Brevard; brother, Fred Galloway and wife Jo Ann of Brevard; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jayson Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 11 AM Monday, August 29, 2016 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. At other times, the family will be at the home.
