Mary O'Shields Whitmire Rosman – Mary O'Shields Whitmire, 82, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Jess and Nora Galloway O'Shields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Allen Breeden and two great grandchildren, Michael Owen and Alexis Breeden. Mrs. Whitmire was of the Mormon faith. She retired from Coats America with over 40 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Otis Whitmire; son, David Shelton and wife Peggy of Yadkinville, NC; daughter, Zelda Breeden of Rosman; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. The graveside service will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the G. W. Whitmire Cemetery, Rosman with the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating.
