Mary Ellen Tritt Woody Pisgah Forest – Mary Ellen Tritt Woody, 74, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at her residence. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Dora Jane Smith Tritt and was the wife of the late Glenn Howard Woody. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Henry, James, and John Tritt, her sister, Dora Mae Brown, a step-child, one niece and two nephews. Mrs. Woody was a member of Boylston Baptist Church. Surviving are sisters, Frances Reece of Pisgah Forest, and Faye Woods of Brevard; brothers, William "Bill" Tritt and wife Margie of Balsam Grove, and Edward Tritt of Pisgah Forest; two step-children; fourteen nephews and twelve nieces. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Boylston Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Burress and Tommy Owen officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Tuesday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Boylston Baptist Church Building Fund.
