MaryAnn Ahlberg Castle, age 92, passed away peacefully at Tore's Home in East Flat Rock, NC, on 4 February 2022. She was a longtime resident of Brevard, NC, and a Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, in Brevard, for over 20 years. MaryAnn was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on 18 November 1929 to the late John and Mildred Henning Ahlberg. She was the wife of the late Ronald E. Castle who died in 1992. MaryAnn was a woman of many names. Mother to 2 loving daughters; Robin Elizabeth Castle Davidson married to Floyd Lindel Davidson of Penrose, NC and Nancy Ann Castle of Brevard, NC. "Nana" to seven wonderful grandchildren; Trisha Elizabeth Davidson Sheriff married to Ronald Sheriff of Somerset, PA, Stephannie Anne Davidson Foster married to Eric Foster of Somerset, PA, Joshua Randall Davidson married to Jessica Lynn Charlton Davidson of Marietta, GA, Erin Marie Stansell of Brevard, NC. MaryAnn was also " Gigi" to eight beloved great grandchildren; Rebecca Elizabeth Sheriff of Buena Vista, CO, Veronica Ann Sheriff of Export, PA, Jeremiah Joseph Foster, Elias Scott Foster, Charlotte Angela Foster, and Vivian Grace Foster all of Somerset, PA, Cullen Charlton Davidson of Marietta, GA and Ethan Stansell of Maurice, LA.
