Maxine Moody Kinsey, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Born in Jackson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Weaver and Bonnie Woody Moody and the wife of the late Fred Kinsey. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Scotty Kinsey and Larry Kinsey, two sisters, Grace Cloer and Lucy Moore, and one brother, Fred Moody.

Mrs. Kinsey was a retired Registered Nurse, working in Transylvania County. She had attended Rosman Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.

Survivors include a son, Freddie Kinsey; seven grandchildren, Gavin Kinsey, Juniper Kinsey, Lena Kinsey, David Kinsey, Jonathan Kinsey, Laura Kinsey, and Karen Kinsey; three great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 3, 2026, at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
