Maybelle Louise Britt, age 87, of Brevard, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Brian Center. A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Clate and Fannie Bagwell West. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Shook. Survivors include four sons, Donald Britt of Brevard, David Britt of Penrose, Daniel Britt and Lewis Britt both of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Betty Blythe of Chattanooga, TN; 2 brothers, Marlin and Richard West of Virginia Beach, VA; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at Morningside Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Voorhes, and Merrill and June Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 till 9:00 Monday evening at Mood-Connolly Funeral Home.
