IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Ronnie
Calloway
April 9, 1972 – June 7, 2025
Cedar Mountain - Michael "Red" Ronnie Calloway passed away on June 7, 2025 doing something he loved.
Red was born on April 9, 1972 in Transylvania County. He was preceded in death by his father Ronnie Calloway, Papa Calloway, and his Grandma Norton.
He is survived by his son Dalton Calloway, wife Laura Calloway, mother Lazelle Calloway, sister Pam Shook (Wesley), niece Bethany Newkirk (TJ), great nieces Scarlett & Navy, his beloved granddog Beau.
Red was a dedicated employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad for 33 years where he not only brought his hard work, but also one of a kind personality. He was listed as the 6th in seniority and time of service within the Norfolk Southern NE Region. His loyalty has brought him so many friendships throughout his service within the railroad. To know Red was to love him. He was a very dedicated and determined family man and would do anything in the drop of a hat if needed. His laughter was enough to bring a smile to anyone in the room. He spent most of his free time in the woods hunting and occasionally catching hogs without any dogs to help, in the river upside down in a jon boat, and riding his Harley wide open.
Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, June 13, 2025 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery followed by a meal that will be served by Willie Smith at Midway Baptist Church. All are welcome to attend and honor the beautiful life he lived.
