Michael Scott Rogers, age 16, of Brevard passed away Sunday February 21, 2010. He was born November 21, 1993 in Transylvania County. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Morris Barton and paternal grandmother Peggy Danielson Rogers. Michael was a student at Rosman High School, enjoyed football, motorcycles and skateboarding. Survivors include his father Scott Rogers and his wife Susie of Brevard, his mother Barbara Leonard and her husband Robert of Brevard, two brothers; T. Brandon Rogers and Blake Leonard both of Brevard, three sister; Mrs. Cyndi Rogers Kelley of Liberty SC, Mrs. Melissa Rogers Smith of Brevard and Ms. Amanda Rogers of Brevard. Maternal grandmother Mrs. Rebecca Barton of Weaverville NC, Maternal great grandfather Hobart Barton of Westminister SC, Paternal grandfather Boyce Rogers of Brevard, Paternal greatgrandparents Robert and Viloa Rogers of Brevard. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 27, 2010 at 2:00pm at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Dellinger officiating. Interment will follow at Cathey's Creek Cemetery.
