Michael Howard Sanders

Michael Howard Sanders passed peacefully to The Great Adventure on October 28, 2023, after a brief illness.

Mr. Sanders was born in Leyte, Philippine Islands on September 17, 1945, to Major Walter W. Sanders and Helen Cecilio Sanders. A graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law, Mr. Sanders served as a Federal Administrative Law Judge in Jackson, Mississippi after several years in private practice with Sanders, Deal and Deal in Clemson, South Carolina and as a professor of Business Law at Clemson University. Mr. Sanders was a member of Clemson Lodge 254 AFM, Hejaz Shriner Greenville, South Carolina, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Sanders was predeceased by his parents Maj. Walter Sanders and Helen Sanders, brothers Walter William Sanders and Harold Claude Sanders.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Clarke Sanders, and children Bailey Kathryn Sanders (Stanislav Rabinovich), Lindsey Adair Greer (Christopher Kemper), and John Lawson Greer, IV (Andrea Shanks).

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Philips Episcopal Church, Brevard, North Carolina.
