Brevard - Mildred Hazel Buckner, 73, passed away on May 21, 2023, after a period of declining health.

She was a woman of faith and believed in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved her family and was very proud of them.

Mildred was preceded in death by, and is now reunited with, parents, Esby and Beulah Buckner (Galloway); siblings, Esby Buckner, Jr; Gladys McCall (Buckner); Elzie Buckner; Faye Taylor (Buckner); Elmer Buckner; Evelyn Whitmire (Buckner); Eloise Galloway (Buckner); and Wallace Buckner. She is survived by daughter, Betty Jones (Owen); son, James S. Owen; and grandson, James W. Owen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held 12pm, Friday, May 26, 2023 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with Pastor Devon Owen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow the service in Woods Cemetery. There will be a reception for the family immediately following the burial at the Woods Memorial Church Fellowship Hall.
