Brevard – Mildred "Mickey"McIntosh Tinsley, 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Spalding McIntosh, Sr. and Mary Fisher McIntosh and was the wife of the late Joseph Tinsley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn McIntosh, Mary Conley, and Harleston Hurst, and her brother, Spalding McIntosh, Jr. Mrs. Tinsley was retired from Olin Corp. Surviving are her daughter, Camellia Tinsley Ellenberger and husband Tim of Brevard; grandchildren, Joe Ellenberger and Tom Ellenberger both of Charleston, SC, Tim Ellenberger and wife Kristy of High Point, NC, and Mark Ellenberger and wife Missy of Brevard; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dottie Tinsley of Brevard. The funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Lake Toxaway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TRH Hospice or to one's favorite charity.
