Mills River - Nancy Garren Cantrell, age 94, went to her heavenly home at 2:45 A.M. on Sunday January 11, 2026.
Born in Transylvania County on July 13,1931 to the late Luther Garren and Jessie Tinsley Garren. She was the oldest of seven.
She was proceeded by her parents, sister Joann McCall, brothers Luther Jr., Johnnie Clifton Garren and Richard Garren.
Survivors include her daughters, Irene Owen of Mills River, Kathy Boggs of Etowah, stepson Ronnie Cantrell of Chattanooga Tn, grandsons Christopher McCall (Misty) and Marty McCall, great granddaughter, Amelia McCall of Hendersonville, sister, Agnes Phipps of Brevard and Tommy Garren of Seneca, S.C. (Roxanne) and special neighbor Trish Bober.
She was a 1950 graduate of Brevard High School. She worked several different jobs over the years. No services are planned due to her request several years ago.
