Nellie Yvonne Jones Ayers, age 79, of Brevard died Sunday, October 9, 2011. Mrs. Ayers was a life-long resident of Transylvania County. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Jone and Lela Rhodes Jones her husband Isaac "Ike" Ayers, two brothers, Lester Jones and Rev. Lloyd Jones, and four sisters, Nora Norman, Pearlee Rinc, Nettiebelle Blythe and Pauline Capps. Survivors include her sons, Ricky Steve Corn and wife Connie of Cedar Mountain, NC and Robert Dean Corn of Mauldin, SC; three grandchildren, Justin Corn, Dillon Corn and Candice Carden and one great-grandchild, Anthony Carden; and her sister Willoree McCall of Hendersonville. Memorial services will be held Thursday October 13, 2011 at 6:00pm in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Wilson officiating.
