Nina Jane Brown Ashe Brevard – Nina Jane Brown Ashe, 88, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lee Brown and Mary Jane Wood Brown. She was also preceded in death by her son, James K. Ashe and his wife Marcia, brothers, Thad and John Frank Brown, and sisters, Oma Anderson, Bessie Wood, and Lucressa Brown. Mrs. Ashe was a member of Open Arms Tabernacle. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Cecil Ashe; daughter, Leona Galloway and husband J. C. of Rosman; sons, Roy N. Ashe and wife Ailene of Pisgah Forest, and John E. Ashe and wife B. J. of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Carmella Raines and husband Clarence, Derek Galloway and wife Michelle, Eric Galloway and wife Jan, Christopher Ashe, Melanie Delgadillo and husband Rafael; Sonya Ashe, Brad Ashe, and Missy White and husband John; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Open Arms Tabernacle. Burial will be in the Cathy Cemetery, Tuckasegee.
