Lake Toxaway – Norma Jean Hogsed, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 after a period of declining health.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Emma Jones McKinney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hogsed and many brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Bryant (Linsy) of Seneca, SC, Tammy Powell (Mike) of Lake Toxaway and Ralph Allen Hogsed of Lake Toxaway, grandchildren, Matthew Bryant (Courtney) of Pickens, SC, Edwin Bryant of Seneca, SC, Amber Reece of Rosman, Chris Powell (Tabitha) of Virginia Beach, VA, great grandchildren, Landon, Declan, Karmin, Calina and several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Jessica Hogsed and Jessica's children, Joe, Jenna and Kaiser who assisted with her care.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, July 1, 2024 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Mack McCall Cemetery.
