Pisgah Forest - Pat Diaz McCall, 74,  North Carolina passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2025. Pat was born December 16,1950 in Santa Rita, Guam to Nicolas and Vera Diaz. She graduated from George Washington High School. She met her husband, Bob, in Killeen, Texas in 1969. They were married June 30, 1970. They later moved to his hometown of Brevard, NC where they raised their family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Cecilia Diaz, Dorothy Rivera and her brother, Nicolas Diaz.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob McCall.  Her children Tammy Lautenschlager and her husband, Aaron, Bobby McCall and his wife, Brooke and Jenny Powell and her husband, Josh.  Her grandchildren, Austin Lautenschlager, Abbey Lautenschlager and her fiancé Josh, Jasmine Powell, Lexi McCall and Levi McCall. Brother-in-law Ed Rivera, Sisters-in-law Sue Kuhne and Pat Grunden.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Above all, Pat devoted her life to her family. Her greatest joy was attending ballgames, graduations and any celebration for any of her grandchildren. She was always there to cheer them on with unwavering support and pride. She cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Anybody who knew Pat, knew her love for bingo.  She played every week for many years resulting in many cherished friendships and lucky wins. Whether it was preparing a meal or providing assistance with a task, she was always ready to help those around her. Friends and family knew she was a reliable source of support and guidance.  Pat loved being a part of the Cathey's Creek Bluegrass community where she and Bob enjoyed dancing, listening to the music and creating memorable friendships.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cathey's Creek Community Center or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Please specify Columbarium on your donation to the church.
