Pansy Ashe Monteith, 71, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her residence. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Ashe and Ollie Mae Mathis Ashe. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse and Edward Ashe. Mrs. Monteith was an active member of Mt. Moriah-Calvert Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, James A. Monteith of the home; sons, Geoffrey Allen Monteith and wife Shana of Columbus, GA and Anthony Lee Monteith of Brevard; grandchildren, Christopher Allen Monteith and Bryan Lee Monteith both of Columbus, GA; sister, Ella Mae Hoxit and husband Glen of Rosman; brothers, Grady Ashe and wife Pat of Hendersonville, James Ashe and wife Pat of Zirconia, NC, Paul Ashe and wife Rowena of Brevard, and Randy Ashe and wife Lynn of Brevard. The memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at Mt. Moriah-Calvert Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve and Brenda Jones, and Mr. Brian Hoxit officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 pm Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah-Calvert Baptist Church.
