Pat C. Stiles, age 84 of Brevard died Sunday January 9, 2011 at Tore's Home. She was born March 16, 1926 to the late Ralph Chaplin and Mary McWilliams Chaplin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Walter R. Stiles. Mrs. Stiles was retired secretary treasurer of Stiles Sales Inc.member of First Christian Church of Ashland Ohio where she was a member of the choir, The Crusaders and a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Stiles was valedictorian of her high school class at Olney Township High School and attended The University of Ill. Survivors include two sons; Jeffrey A. Stiles of Flat Rock and Robert C. Stiles of Nevada Ohio, one grandson Kallan Stiles and one granddaughter Lena Stiles both of Nevada Ohio, one daughter; Carol S. Barthel and her husband William of Hendersonville, two granddaughters Jennifer Combs her husband Jason great granddaughter Lillian Combs and a great grandson Aerick Combs all of Marion and Amanda Barthel of Greensboro, Memorial services will be held Saturday January 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Chapel. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Transylvania Hospice, 89 Hospital Drive, Brevard NC 28712.
