Patti Shankle Caldwell,69, a native of Durham NC and a resident of Pisgah Forest NC since 2003, died November 26, 2016, of complications related to lung cancer. Mrs. Caldwell was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until her recent illness. Survivors include her husband, Ernie Caldwell, her brothers Pete and Dee Shankle of Durham NC, and by her step daughter and grand daughter Heather and Erin Hadley of Graham NC. A Memorial Mass will be held 11am, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, 400 Flemington Drive, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450.
