Hendersonville - Patricia "Susie" Conard, 74, formerly of Brevard, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021. She was born August 13th, 1946, in Alexandria, VA. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Wanda Walker of Houston, Texas. Susie attended Crab Creek Baptist Church with her family and friends where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jack Edgar Conard, daughter Leslie McDowell and husband Alvin, their children, Emily Klump (Ben) and James McDowell, Son Danny Conard and his wife Missy, their children, Caroline Conard, Molly-Kate Shumway (Chris) and Ansley Conard, son Jason Conard and his wife Amy and their children Wyatt Conard (Faith), Jessica and Eliza, and three great grandchildren, Adalie and Elowyn Shumway and Della Klump, brother, William "Billy" Walker (Sue) and Sister, Jeannie Quaid of Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday August 15, 2021, at Crab Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Crab Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating. Memorials can be made to the Crab Creek Cemetery Fund.
