Patricia Anne Fotheringham, 71, of Brevard NC, passed away on Saturday , January 22, 2011, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with End Stage Renal Disease. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy McMyler. She was a graduate of Regina High School and attended Kent State University. In her early days Pat spent the years traveling the country and overseas as a military wife, finally settling in Liverpool, NY with her family for almost 25 years before relocating to Brevard in 1997. Her greatest joys came from time spent with her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Brevard and was an active supporter of numerous charities. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers James, Charles, and John Mcmyler, a daughter Anne Marie Fotheringham in 2006, a son Christopher Mathew Fotheringham in 2009, and a great grandson Christopher Alexander Fotheringham in 2010. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than 50 years, retired Lt. Colonel Herbert A. Fotheringham of Brevard, daughter Mary Beth Fotheringham of Brevard, daughter Lauren (Jim) Tilton of Cicero, NY, sons Michael of Brevard, Thomas of Kuwait City, Kuwait, Richard (Simone) of Liverpool, NY. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the physicians and staff of Mountain Kidney Associates and the Hendersonville Davita Dialysis Center for the many years of outstanding care and support. Also great thanks to the Mission Hospital CVICU for the warm and compassionate care given to her and her family during her final days. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard from 6-8 P.M. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church in Brevard at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Patricia's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
