Patricia Reece Wright, age 82, of Pisgah Forest, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, September 21st, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Francis and Ethel Reece. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Wright and her two brothers, Buddy and Hal Reece.

Mrs. Wright was born on August 5th, 1941 in Waynesville, NC. In 1965 she moved with her husband to Pisgah Forest, NC. Patricia had a servant's heart and worked at several doctors offices and hospitals throughout her time as a nurse. She was then able to become a stay at home mom to her three daughters. Patricia loved drawing, painting, making flower arrangements and beautiful horse wreaths for The Walking Horse Association shows. She was a Duke fan just to make her husband Johnny, who was a Tarheel fan, mad. She loved her grandchildren and great-children fiercely and always made sure they had what they needed.

Survivors include her sister Barbara Gentry Nicholson, three daughters, Tammy Heath and her husband John of Brevard, Jonna Mitchell and her husband Jamie of Edneyville and Stephanie Massey and her husband Rodney of Brevard,  three granddaughters, Emily Fanning and her husband Kevin of Sneads Ferry, NC, Chasity Whitson and her husband Josh of Etowah and Kasi Nix and her husband Adam of Edneyville, her great-grandchildren,  Sawyer and Maddison Massey, Eli and Ava Whitson, Jacob Fanning and Adalyn Nix.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Four Seasons Hospice in honor of Mrs. Wright.
