Peter John Pioli of Sapphire Valley, NC, was called to his heavenly Father on Friday June 23rd 2017. He was born in Bronx, NY on December 10th 1947 to the late George and Renee Pioli. He is survived by his spouse Louis Riggs, his brother George, his two children Paul and Vanessa and four grandchildren Renee, Garrett, Isabella and Lilliana. Peter graduated from Parsons School of Design College in New York City, NY, and had a very successful career in design and interior decorating. He moved to the Sapphire Valley area in 1997 and opened "Peter J. Pioli Interiors" which he ran until his death. He loved the mountains and nature. He was a very spiritual man and was a member of St Jude Catholic Church where he was instrumental in all facets of extending the church with a parish hall and classrooms. He was also former president of the parish council and the current church sacristan. He was a very passionate caring humble man who would do anything for anyone and not want any recognition or anything in return. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
