Pia Maria Fehrenbacher Kalteis, 80, of Brevard passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born in Germany and was the daughter of the late Franz and Pia Hils Fehrenbacher. She was preceded in death by her husband George Kalteis and brother, Franz Fehrenbacher. Mrs. Kalteis enjoyed hiking in the Pisgah National Forest with her hiking club. Survivors include her sons, David Kalteis of Auburn Hills, MI and Steven Kalteis of Bloomfield, MI and a sister, Rosie Borris. No local services are planned.
