Rosman – R. G. "Cotton" Galloway, 86, former Mayor and Alderman of Rosman, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015. He was the son of the late Milford and Dallis Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J. P. and L.C. Galloway and one sister, Christine Cantrell. Cotton served his community with distinction for 25 years. His proudest achievements were attaining grants from the Land of the Sky Council and building the Rosman Town Hall, which completed had no debt to its citizens. He was a very caring gentleman, he proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a member of the local VFW and DAV. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Mildred Galloway, son; Rickey Galloway, daughters; Brenda Schultz, and Nora Dean and husband Donnie, brother; D. H. Galloway and wife Gail, sisters; Mildred Morgan, Josephine Morgan, Dr. Shelby Galloway and Geraldine Chapman and husband D. H. , grandchildren; Kelly Dean Robinson, Matthew Stalcup and Lisa Galloway, great grandchildren; Dylan Davis and Destiny Galloway. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Friday, August 7, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
