Brevard – Rachel Arrowood Mann, 91, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Cocke County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Arrowood and Mary Fish Arrowood. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jerri DeLois Mayes, brother, Robert Arrowood, and sisters, Rosetta Tinsley, Rebecca Hicks, and Lucille Center. Mrs. Mann was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brevard. Surviving are her husband, Jerry D. Mann; daughter, Rebecca Grose and husband Stephen of Greenville, SC; son, John W. Mann and wife Lynn of Fairview, NC; sister, Hazel Ward of Brevard; brother, Wilton Arrowood of Barnardsville, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Grose of Flat Rock, NC, and Heather Fine of Greenville, SC; six great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Brevard with the Revs. Mike Jordan and Kerry Purselle officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 :30 pm Sunday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
