Ralph Richard "Hoot" Allison, age 87 of Pisgah Forest died Friday September 24, 2010 at
The Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. He was born July 15, 1923 in Transylvania County
to the late Charles Burgeson Allison and Minnie Bell Johnson Allison.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his spouse
Mary Christine Hawkins Allison, one daughter Jeanette Allison Mathis, one grandson
Clay Mathis, two brothers C.B. Allison and Clarence Allison and two sisters
Nellie Sen Sing and Myrtle Allison.
Mr. Allison was a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church, He retired from Ecusta
and was a U.S. Army Vetern an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Elaine Allison McCall and her husband Charles
of Little River, Mrs. Faye Allison McCall and her husband Tommy of Pisgah Forest and
Ms. Sheila Allison of Pisgah Forest. Two sister; Mrs. May Bell Gasperson of Cedar Mt.,
and Mrs. Helen Marshall of Pisgah Forest, twelve grandchildren; Brian McCall,
Diane McKinney, Vickey McCall, Robbie McCall, Tina McCall, Corey McCall
Stewart Owenby, Allison Owenby, Christy Stephenson, Lynn Calhoun,
Tammy Owen and Chase Mathis. nineteen great grandchildren and two
great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 28, 2010 at 11:00am at
Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Owen
Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens with Military Honors.
The Family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-8:30pm at the
Funeral home. At other times the family will gather at Mr. Allison's residence on Brown
Road in Pisgah Forest.
