Ralph "David" Reaves 55 Left this world for a better one on April 23, 2015 after being at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville, NC for a short while. Born July 26, 1959 in Henderson, TN Son of the late Ralph E. Reaves & Bonnie R. Gower of Flatwood, KY. David has made Etowah, NC his home for the past 17 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Susan Reaves. He graduated College in 1980 from Freed Hardeman University. As a long term care administrator licensed in seven states, David's mission was to create a better environment & a greater quality of life for those in his care. He created a gentler, softer, more loving approach from all who worked by his side. He was an excellent team leader and lived by example. David enjoyed NASCAR, motorcycle riding, RV traveling and his Corvettes. Most of all he loved being home on his front porch with family and friends. Family was the most important part of his life. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Pamela Bell-Reaves, sister Patti Reaves of Ashland, KY, sons, Dustin Reaves of Etowah, Michael Bell of Etowah, Robert "Bobby" Bell (Irene) of Dixon, CA, an honorary son Steven Hodge of Etowah, NC, and a daughter, Miranda "Randi" Walker (Brad) of Eagleville, TN, 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The world is a bit dimmer without David but, it's a whole lot brighter because of him. Funeral services were held 2pm, Monday, April 27, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Justus Family Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
