Ray Vic Hollingsworth, 53, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 7, 2012, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Vic was born May 13, 1959, in Brevard, North Carolina. A graduate of Harris School of Art & Design in Franklin, Tennessee, Vic worked for 23 years at Asheville Citizen Time as a graphic designer. In addition he was an accomplished artist who enjoyed sharing his talent with family and friends. He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Stephen McHenry of Hendersonville; mother and father, Bessie and James Hollingsworth, Pisgah Forest; his brother David (Alyse), Brevard; his very special niece, Emily. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Kiah and Florene Hollingsworth, Homer and Mary Lou Cox. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 10, 20112 at Brevard Community Church with receiving of friends following. A private burial will be held at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Brevard High School Art Program or to a local Habitat for Humanity.
