Pisgah Forest – Richard Hyde, 73 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2016. He was the son of the late James Louis and Frankie Buchanan Hyde. Richard was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. He was an avid sportsmen. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Richard was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather and a devoted friend. Survivors include his wife, Martha Hyde; daughters, Lynn Austin of Pisgah Forest, Wilma Owen and husband Sam of Brevard, Dana Bradley of Lake Toxaway, Martha Anders and husband Mark of Lake Toxaway and Norma Owen and husband Lloyd of Pisgah Forest; brother, Mike Hyde and wife Linda of Canton; nephew Rev. Jeremy Hyde; grandchildren, Zachary, Lacey, Connie, Candice, Samuel, Jessica, Jennifer, Troy, Carla, Joseph, Brandi, Ray-Ray and David and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Anchor Baptist Church with Revs. Randy Barton and Jeremy Hyde officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with the Transylvania Honor Guard conducting military honors.
