Richard C. (Rick) Morris, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 21, 2012 after a hard fought battle with cancer. A native and lifelong resident of Transylvania County, he was born On Oct. 11, 1966 to the late Richard C. Morris, Sr. and Patricia Poor Morris. He was the husband of Jo Smith Morris. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Morris Galarza and great nephew, Jace Fullbright. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Clint Morris and Will Morris of the home, sister Barbara Morris and husband Lloyd Thrower, nephew Tyler Morris-Harrington, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a graduate of Brevard High School and employed by WilsonArt Int'l prior to his cancer diagnosis. He was a member of Brevard Community Church. He loved Jesus, his two boys, fishing, football, the beach and driving through mud holes with his Jeep. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Brevard Community Church Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 3pm. The family will receive visitors prior to the celebration at 1:30pm.
