Brevard – Robert Richard "MOBY" Sorrells, 86, passed away at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Haywood County, He was the son of the late Everett Hosea Sorrells and Sarah Elizabeth Evans Sorrells. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 26 years, the late Mabel C. Sorrells in 1984. Moby was also preceded in death by brothers, Lewis, J.T., Clyde, Fred, John, and Earl Sorrells, his sisters, Marenda Holden, and Mazie Spafford, and stepbrother, Howard Mooney. Surviving is one brother, James A. Sorrells, several nieces and nephews and many loving great and great-great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Brevard Wesleyan Church.
